Become a Tree Tender

In support of TreeVitalize, PHS, in partnership with Penn State Cooperative Extension, offers nine hours of hands-on tree
care training for residents of the five-county Philadelphia region. The free training will cover tree biology, identification, planting, proper care and working within your community.

The Tree Tender training is designed for all audiences. The course is offered on weekday evenings at three locations each spring and fall. Pre-registration is required. Given the intensity of the training and the evening hours, the course is not appropriate for children under 16. You can register for future courses here.

Available for ISA, PA LA, PLNA and Act 48 credit for teachers.
