Visit the Gardens of Cornwall, England
April 10 - 20, 2011
Next April, PHS will visit some of the magical gardens of Cornwall in England's western peninsula. The mild Cornish climate and acid soil combine with the hilly terrain and rocky coastline to produce some amazing vistas of camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias that are at their peak this time of the year.
In addition to the great gardens at Caerhays, Trebah, Trewithen, and others, we will visit the iconic Abbey Gardens on the isle of Tresco, travelling there by helicopter. We will stay for part of the
tour in St. Mawes, a charming little fishing and sailing port. Once again, the tour will be lead by Ann and Colin Senior of Heritage Garden Tours, and former president Jane Pepper will join the group.
