More Than 150 Free Events Coming to Philadelphia Parks This Summer

Philadelphia (Summer, 2010) From vertical gardening and window box workshops to flea markets and family movies, more than 150 free events will be offered this summer and fall through this year’s Summer in the Neighborhood Series, sponsored by the PHS’s Philadelphia Green program, the City’s Department of Parks and Recreation and PNC Bank.

Irish American Night, and movies including “Twilight” and “Cloudy with a Channel of Meatballs” will provide residents with a chance to enjoy the revitalization of the more than 90 parks throughout Philadelphia thanks to funding from the William Penn Foundation and local fundraising efforts.
